Daily Field Trip(s)
Sugar Shack at Sucrerie de la Montagne & Forest Scavenger Hunt
Our team will meet you at the DDO Civic Center at 7:30am. Parents and kids will have a chance to meet the guides (Andrea and Alex).
To get the day started and to ensure everyone has a chance to get acquainted with each other, we will conduct group ice-breaker activities. This is a great way to make new friends, especially for participants that are new to Inspire.
Upon arriving at la Sucrerie de la Montagne, participants will get exclusive meet and Q&A with the family that owns the sugar shack. This is an an entrepreneurial twist that we include in our programs in the spirit of sparking new passions and discoveries within youth. The group will be able to ask questions about the family business, its beginnings, and learn all about what it takes to operate something so unique and seasonal at such a large scale!
Our group will then get a guided tour of the property and learn all about the process and making of real quebecois maple syrup.
Now for the best part of the day... a traditional Sugar Shack Party which includes an all-you-can-eat lunch, live music and quebecois dancing to work off all the yummy food!
In the afternoon, our team has organized a very fun and mysterious Scavenger Hunt for the group - we don't wan to say too much because we want it to be a surprise!
Although we usually close at 6:00pm, on this specific day, we will be closing at 5:00pm. Once we arrive back to the DDO Civic Centre, participants are encouraged to hang out and talk about the day amongst each other (and with our team) until they are picked up.
